The Bachelor of Science in Education program commonly covers subjects like educational psychology, curriculum development, classroom management, teaching techniques and educational technology. Students also gain practical teaching experience through student teaching or internships, where they can apply their theoretical knowledge in actual classroom settings.
What is BS Education?
A Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education is a comprehensive undergraduate degree program that focuses on preparing individuals for a meaningful and rewarding career in the field of education. This program is structured to provide aspiring educators with a solid foundation in education theory, coupled with practical experiences in teaching. The degree program covers different aspects of education, including curriculum development, educational psychology, assessment and evaluation, classroom management, and instructional strategies.
The BS in Education program is designed to provide students with a broad range of skills and knowledge that will enable them to become effective educators in various settings. This program is highly customizable, offering a diverse range of specializations within education, such as early childhood education, special education, secondary education, and many others. The specific structure and requirements of the program vary depending on the institution offering the program and the area of specialization that a student chooses.
Eligibility :
To be eligible for admission, students must have passed FA/F.Sc/ICS/A level or an equivalent program from a recognized institution with a minimum of 45% marks or 2nd division. This excludes 20 marks of Hafiz-e-Quran. For subjects such as Engineering and Pharmacy, the minimum admission requirement is 1st division. Please note that the respective category of admission will be taken into consideration when determining eligibility.
Duration :
It is a four-year full-time program that is divided into eight semesters. Each semester lasts for at least 18 weeks, which includes teaching and exams.

Graduates with a BA (Hons) in Education have good career prospects in the education sector, as well as in journalism and mass media. Many students find work as teachers in private schools, while those with a higher degree like MPhil can secure placements in universities. Furthermore, a degree in Education can be advantageous for students who aspire to join the federal and provincial civil services.
Assessment of Study Progress:
The evaluation of students' progress in their studies is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester. This is achieved through various methods such as assignments, online quizzes, Graded Moderated Discussion Board (GDB), mid-term and final-term exams. The mid and final term exams are conducted at designated exam centers of AIMS International Virtual University (AIVU) and usually account for 80 to 85% of the total marks for a course.
